Is there a way to fix this Or is it a limitation of virtualbox.I know my macbook can display millions of colors, but maybe virtualbox has graphical limitations. It is located at ApplicationsVirtualBox.appContentsMacOSVBoxGuestAdditions.iso.I have a Seagate Freeagent external USB hard drive and I cant get it to be recognized (it is formatted NTFS).
When I click on the USB in the bar on the bottom the drive is in the list, but it is grayed out so I cannot select it. Then, maybe it will work, or maybe you can access it as a network drive from Windows. You might also be able to set VirtualBox to allow the external drive as a shared folder. ![]() If the drive isnt there, and if it is still not allowed in the usb, maybe you could try to open Run and then type something like ftp:192.168.1.1 or whatever the macs address is (as stated in the Sharing section of the Mac settings), and then browse for the external drive from there. Again, when the program moves out of beta, it will probably have more networkusb support. ![]() I think i will probably have to wait for it to be updated before these things work. Until then, you could always try VMware fusion (if you can afford it, or at least a 30 day trial) which works really well. If the virtual machine isnt connected to a device, it is still connected to the Mac. Im pretty sure they only wont be available to the Mac if it is being used by Windows. Just because theyre not visible in Windows, doesnt mean that Windows doesnt have them locked up (eg, trying to use them).
